because it was destroyed.

for I was banished without sin.

No matter how many times Sigyn and others told her that it'll be alright, no matter how she herself wished she could be just a normal child, nothing could change it. It was her destiny - or so they say. Odin banished her into Helheim and she became Goddess of Death.
But inside her will always live that small broken child, who never wished for anything more than to live with her family in peace.
