Who did ever say that Luna turned into Nightmare Moon just once?
Who did ever say that Celestia hasn't done something similar and we just don't know about it because it's part of deeper past?
Who did ever say they weren't doing it on purpose, just for fun?
Come on, they are immortal god-like alicorns! For them changing history can be just a game, right? Imagine it like this: when they get bored they came up with story about one of them turning into villain and the other one saving the world. And this still repeats to nowadays...

I love that part when I have to pretend that I don't know how to speak correctly! And Celestia's student writes her letter about it each time, heh, she's so naive!
